The core loop
A run, told by heat
Heat starts at zero and only rises — every chest, kill, and minute feeds it. Three thresholds escalate the map against you. There is no timer; the run ends when you leave, or when the map wins.
-
Walk in
Step off your island into the raid map. No queue, no lobby — your gear comes with you.
-
Loot
Chests come in three visible rarity tiers, carrying materials and run items. Every one you open is more loot and more heat.
- Threshold I — tougher spawns
-
Push deeper
The map is spawning meaner things now. The better chests are further in. So is the way back.
- Threshold II — hunter mobs track you
-
Decide
The only question that matters, every single time: one more chest, or extract now?
- Threshold III — siege waves
-
Extract — or don't
Stand the extraction pad and the whole haul lands in your island storage. Die, and the run's loot is gone. Your gear always comes home.
Between runs
The island gives the loot a purpose
Island tier ladder
Loot is spent on your island: bigger borders, better generators, island flight at the top. Tiers gate the harder maps — better island, better raids, better loot.
The Forge
Vanilla gear crafting is gone. Forge armor and the Arc Blade with randomly rolled affixes, reroll and augment them with orbs, and gamble enchants at the Enchanter.
Insulated armor
Loot-forged armor that slows your heat gain — push deeper into a run before the map turns on you.
Your gear always comes home
Death only costs the run's loot. Everything you carry in is returned, every time — the haul is the stake, never your kit.
Crowns & cosmetics
Extractions pay Crowns, coinage of the ruined kingdom. Spend them on chance crates: particle trails, gradient chat colors, island decor. Never a duplicate, zero gameplay impact.
A living hub
Trivia races, giveaways, and floating leaderboards — top hauls, extraction streaks — running between raids.
